Updated 2024-02-12 Religion - general aspects(criminal complaint included)
This article mostly refers to Christian religions, but many of the issues presented are relevant for religion in general. It's possible that what you read here might differ slightly from what you heard in church. The article is not a criticism of religion, but a presentation of facts. Evolutionism and atheism are not mentioned . Edsger Dijkstra , 1975: Sometimes we discover unpleasant truths. [...] If the truths are sufficiently impalatable, our audience is psychically incapable of accepting them and we will be written off as totally unrealistic, hopelessly idealistic, dangerously revolutionary, foolishly gullible or what have you. (Besides that, telling such truths is a sure way of making oneself unpopular in many circles, and, as such, it is an act that, in general, is not without personal risks. Vide Galileo Galilei.....) Genesis 1:1,25 (King James Version):In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Job 38:4,7 : Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if
thou hast understanding. the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children
to them, He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. The Bible also explains why men were wicked and why their thoughts were evil.Whence cometh evil? Isaiah 45:7 : I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Amos 3:6 :Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Apparently God, after seeing that what he made was very good (it wasn't), he also saw that it was boring (probably not bad enough), so he continued to create even more evil, for reasons also explained in the Holy Scripture.John 9:1-3 : And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. God made a man blind from his birth just for fun, then healed him when he was probably close to his death anyway, considering the life expectancy in those times, and there's another detail which most people overlook .In his book, An Anthropologist On Mars (1995), neurologist Oliver Sacks recounts the story of Virgil, a man who saw very little until having cataract surgery at age 50. Virgil's subsequent behavior was that of a "mentally blind" person—someone who sees but cannot decipher what is out there; he would act as if he were still blind. Often confused, Virgil rapidly sank into depression. The brain is more important for vision than the eyes, so for Jesus to enable that man to see, he had to significantly alter his brain. Children learn to interpret what they see the same way they learn any other skill, such as, for instance, to talk - by forming neural connections gradually, over time, in the proper conditions.Adult listening skills are critical Here, Jesus created all those highly complex connections very quickly and without affecting any other functions of the man's brain. This is remarkable not just because of the precision required, but also because all the functions are interconnected. The spittle he used to anoint the eyes of the blind man was just for artistic effect. It follows from here that if God didn't like the wickedness of man or his evil thoughts (Genesis Chapter 6), he could have just rewired people's brains, so that they would no longer be evil, and while he was at it, fix the other things too, because it wasn't people's fault that the earth was filled with violence. Apparently, killing almost all the people on the earth was more fun. Just for the record, free will can not be used as a justification for this, as an article titled God deserves to burn in hell , which refers to God in general and not to any specific religion, very nicely explains:As to the (non-existent) ‘free will’ thing… It doesn’t cut it.
Here is why: take person A being the perpetrator of a violent crime and person B being
that crime’s victim. [Person A's] ‘free will’ is to execute that violent crime on person
B. However, what the ‘free will’ proponents forget about roughly 100% of the time is
the person B and [per] free will. Incidentally, person B’s free will is NOT to be a
victim of a violent crime.
Also, assuming that God has perfect knowledge of the future
(Isaiah 46:10-11
),
on which prophecies depend, btw, free will is impossible, because when someone
is faced with a choice, the only possible choice is the one that God already
knows, so no choice. Thus, we appear to live in a world in which God creates
evil for the purpose of having fun and all we can do is thank God for having
chosen a few people (not you) from the beginning, to salvation
(2 Thessalonians 2:13
).
Popular Christian theology says the devil was created good, but he became evil.
[...] That is impossible! Nothing deviates from God’s purpose.
[(Isaiah 46:10-11)] Revelation 4:11 : Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Saint John of Damascus (alt):MD5: f334012070927e4e06181e4f4a489da6 page 165, translated from Romanian: When the Scripture says: "God does evil" and: "There is no evil in the city that the Lord has not done", it does not show that God is the cause of evil, but something else entirely. The word "evil" has a double meaning: sometimes it shows evil by nature; it is contrary to the virtue and the will of God; at other times it shows what is evil and painful in relation to our feeling, i.e. annoyances and misfortunes. These are only apparently bad, because they are painful, but in reality they are good. So if your child is run over by a train*, this may be an annoyance and misfortune, but it's good because killing children is in accordance with the virtue and the will of God, as will be shown in the next chapter, which means that God doesn't cause any evil. If you're a priest, pastor or other religious leader concerned about admitting that God causes or creates evil because you think it might be bad for business, then Saint John of Damascus solves your problem. Similar ideas can be found in George Orwell's book 1984 . "WAR IS PEACE", "FREEDOM IS SLAVERY", "IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH". As mentioned, the ministries are deliberately named after the opposite (doublethink) of their true functions: "The Ministry of Peace concerns itself with war, the Ministry of Truth with lies, the Ministry of Love with torture and the Ministry of Plenty with starvation." (Part II, Chapter IX – The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism). *No, the child will not be saved. However, Saint John of Damascus's approach to this issue is condemned by the Bible. Isaiah 5:20 : Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! The Romanian Orthodox Church solved the problems presented above in the most elegant fashion, by simply modifying the relevant texts in the Orthodox Bible and instructing believers not to read any other versions (see page 25 of the criminal complaint below).A criminal complaint As shown so far, God created people to laugh at them while having them in derision (Psalm 2:4, Job 38), or to kill them in all sorts of imaginative ways, when derision is no longer entertaining enough. According to the Bible, when killing people becomes boring, God likes to make them kill each other, a fact also noticed by a Romanian guy named Vasilică Militaru, who filed a criminal complaint in 2018 against the heads of the Romanian Orthodox Church, who publicly promote and praise the murderers presented in the Bible. In Romania we have some laws which forbid this kind of stuff, although unfortunately no one can hold God accountable, due to technical reasons. Vasilică Militaru has a degree in theology and has spent 7 years at a monastery close to a hieromonk named Iustin Pârvu , so his views might be a little biased, i.e. he's trying to present Jesus from the New Testament in a somewhat favourable light, which is possible by overlooking a great deal of what he did, but the complaint is ~150% valid from a legal point of view, which is why it was closed and he was notified that the same would happen to any other complaint referring to this kind of subject, because it's not like the laws were made for everyone, or, as some guy named Henry Kissinger apparently said: The illegal we can do right now; the unconstitutional will take a little longer. Unsurprisingly, the Romanian Orthodox Church did not take the complaint into consideration, i.e. could not find anything to say against it, but Vasilică Militaru was criticised by many good Christians, who couldn't understand what's wrong with him, that he is bothered by all these murders. An English translation is available below in OpenDocument and PDF formats.MD5: 966053a14b85ada1d1220cfd1273d746 MD5: 6c579e68175936a185a5b6a9ef0ebe66 A few fragments: CRIMINAL COMPLAINT XII) paedophile trend. On one occasion, in particular, he demanded from the spoils of war 32 girls aged over three years. However, the question is controversial because, according to that culture and that historical and temporal context, it was permissible to perform sexual acts with children above that age; This fragment refers to Numbers 31:40 :And the persons were sixteen thousand; of which the LORD'S tribute was thirty and two persons. The persons that God demanded for himself were women children (Numbers 31:18), as they were the only ones left alive, and this was part of the division of the spoils of war described in the translated criminal complaint, on pages 10 and 11. Vasilică Militaru didn't mention Numbers 31:40, but he did notice that in the description of the spoils of war, the animals are presented first and then the surviving virgin women, taken as sex slaves. Animals were more valuable than female slaves. Of course, from the expressions psychopathological profile and psychopathological diagnosis we can only retain the word psychopath, because the suffix -ological and the word diagnosis have no place in the context of psychology or psychiatry , but in essence, Giulio Perrotta's article is mostly in agreement with Vasilică Militaru's criminal complaint, and even with its slight imperfections, it does contain some common sense observations referring to God, which anyone should be able to understand, such as:IV) violent. In geometry, a straight line is defined as a line with no curvature. The curvature is the amount by which a curve deviates from being a straight line and it should already be obvious that we're not getting anywhere. In 1931, Kurt Gödel published two theorems referring to mathematical demonstrations : The first incompleteness theorem states that no consistent system of axioms whose theorems can be listed by an effective procedure (i.e., an algorithm) is capable of proving all truths about the arithmetic of natural numbers. For any such consistent formal system, there will always be statements about natural numbers that are true, but that are unprovable within the system. The second incompleteness theorem, an extension of the first, shows that the system cannot demonstrate its own consistency. Ignoring (or not knowing) these facts, some people have attempted, even less successfully, to define notions much more complex than a straight line, such as, for instance, a woman, or consciousness, also known as sentience, and although even less is known about consciousness than about natural numbers, this didn't stop people from making silly statements, sometimes even in articles presented as scientific , such as:The human brain is the most complex of all biological organs; it not only gives rise to consciousness-[...]-but also mediates our behavioural responses. If this is a scientific article, then science must be a synonym for poppycock, because the brain can not give rise to consciousness. If someone were to make an identical copy of you, down to the last subatomic particle, and if what would be obtained would be a functioning person, that person would not be you, i.e. would have a different consciousness, in spite of per brain being identical to yours (if you disagree with this idea, I don't have any further arguments to support it). On the other hand, your brain changes significantly throughout life while your consciousness remains the same. This is one of the reasons why machines will never be sentient, however complex they may be.Are you me? In religion, the consciousness is usually referred to as the soul, and many people are preoccupied with what happens to the soul after the body ceases to function (i.e. death), because unforeseen consequences may arise. Fortunately, the Bible is pretty clear in this matter.Matthew 10:28 : And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Revelation 13:1,8 :And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of
the sea, Revelation 20:15 : And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. So whoever was not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life — you most likely weren't (Matthew 7:14 ), there's nothing you can do and it's not clear whether anyone was — will be cast into the lake of fire. Many people seem to be unaware of this, possibly because it's not mentioned very often in church, which, as Vasilică Militaru pointed out, preys on the gullibility of believers who do not have time to carefully study the biblical writings. Mark Twain, for instance, supposedly said: I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it. Although such expectations might be considered a little overly optimistic, Mark Twain's statements point out the fact that the people who want to argue that God does not create evil in spite of having created everything, by claiming that evil does not exist and is simply the absence of good, like darkness is the absence of light, are wrong. On the contrary, good does not exist and is simply the absence of evil. If nothing happens, that is good. Other considerations:Men of God The following video features Steven Anderson, a well known American Baptist pastor, Calistrat Chifan, a Romanian Orthodox hieromonk who was filmed hitting a woman in 2022, and a former priest named Daniel Balaș, who makes some comments about Calistrat Chifan and about the Romanian Orthodox Church in general. At the end of the video, Daniel Balaș refers to Ioan, a 13-year-old kid who killed himself because his father (a priest) was beating him . Translated: Ioan Olărean died on
November 9. The initial news from the local press was that the boy had committed suicide
because of love related sorrow. Two days later, people in town started talking. Under the
protection of anonymity, because they are afraid of
the boy's father
. The mother of another friend of Ioan tells how she found out one day that the boy was beaten at home, after reading the messages between the two children. She also does it under the protection of anonymity. [...] Another girlfriend of Ioan says that the boy constantly had bruises on his body and that one of the reasons why he was beaten was that he did not want to become a priest, like his father. [...] Ioan's girlfriend: And that was it. [His father] wanted to make him a priest. He told him: either you become a priest or I'll kill you! How i made you, that's how I'll kill you! He said he wanted to kill himself many times and his friends stopped him. He said he'd rather die than go through what he goes through at home, According to Orthodox Christian Theology : Direct suicide, in the eyes of the Church, is and will always be the ultimate rejection of God and His love for us. So unfortunately, after having lived a wonderful life until the age of 13, Ioan will also be tortured for eternity in hell .For those who hate the Lord, [His] Presence will be infinite torture, hell and eternal death. But there is still hope for his father, who didn't ultimately reject God's love and can easily go to heaven if he confesses his sins to a(nother) priest and follows a few simple instructions. Of course, Ioan won't be there, but the guy apparently didn't like him anyway.References: MD5: 31d518eeaa2174af9d4e68eae98631c5 From another news site :
as the sources say, on Monday evening (on November 7), the boy left home, devastated with pain after another
quarrel in the family. He didn't leave any note behind and he didn't tell anyone where he was going, but he
always told his friends, classmates, that he can no longer stand the [mis]treatment at home. The boy told
them that his father had been beating him since before he started going to school, and as time went by, the
aggressions increased as he was demanded to be first in class. So what then? I don't know, but I have a page with a few suggestions made by various people, which you could take into consideration. According to one of those opinions, If it's truth that you're looking to find, it is nowhere outside of your mind . |
